Who we are
What a Shot (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party for the personal information described here. For anything in this notice, email hello@whatashot.co.za.
What we collect
Only what you type into our forms:
- Start a project: your name, email, brand, timeline and the brief you send.
- Join the crew: your name, email, WhatsApp number, area, availability, Instagram handle if you give it, your experience, and confirmation that you are 18 or older.
We don’t ask for ID numbers, bank details or your home address on this website. If you are booked for work, we collect what the booking needs separately and directly from you.
Why we use it
- To reply to your brief and quote on the work.
- To consider you for promoter shifts and contact you about them.
We don’t sell your information or use it for anything else.
Who sees it
Our own team, and the email and hosting providers that run this website and our inbox. When we put a promoter forward for a brand’s activation, we share only what that booking needs, and only with your agreement.
How long we keep it
Briefs are kept for as long as we are working together, or discussing work. Crew applications are kept for 12 months, then deleted unless you ask us to keep you on file.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@whatashot.co.za. If you’re not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Regulator.
Cookies
This website doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you: it sees only the page, the referring site, and your country and device type. If that changes, this notice will say so first.
